Thought I would share a sneak peek from a recent family mini session. These parents didn’t want to torture their teenagers with a long photo session, so they hired me for just a short session, focused on family photos only. Working with teenagers is always such a breeze compared to the babies and toddlers I usually work with, so I had fun doing this session. Hopefully they did too!

Here’s one for now, will share more later.

If you are thinking you want some fall family pictures in Lethbridge, it’s not too late! I have some openings this weekend, and there’s still some great fall color! Send me an email! (use this contact form!)

I was so honored to be asked to photograph this extended family session because I spent a lot of time in this backyard, with this lovely family, when I was a kid. It really doesn’t feel like it was that long ago at all… but in the same way feels like it’s been forever! It’s always cool to see how the people you grew up with, grow up and have families of their own. I couldn’t ask for a nicer family to work with and I really had fun reconnecting with them all.

In typical Lethbridge fashion, we had to deal with gale force winds during this family photo session. But despite the wind blowing everyone’s hair every which way, I am really happy with the photographs from this session. I am almost finished the gallery and I’m excited to show them to the family, but for now, here is a sneak peek of a few that stood out at me… more to come soon!

*just a note, I notice when viewing this blog on a mobile device the photos can sometimes be a bit blurry, if that happens click on the actual photo to see it the way it is supposed to look!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday with your families.

I know, it’s been a long time since I updated this blog, and I’m sorry!

This has been such a beautiful fall, I’m sure I am not the only photographer in Lethbridge who has been loving this warm weather, (minus the windy days of course).

Here are a few sneak peeks from a recent fall family photo session. I am so thankful for amazing clients who come back to me as their family grows. I first met this family when the oldest son was just a little guy, I believe he was 4. It’s been a pleasure to watch this family grow and photograph them as they do!

You’ll have to excuse my lateness in getting some sessions blogged this fall. I have a good excuse, I’ve been distracted. I’m expecting my third baby in early february, and I’ll be honest, getting all my work wrapped up+getting prepared for Christmas meant a few things had to give and that ended up being the blog! So I will try to get a few more sessions on here before my baby arrives, after which I will be taking a little bit of time off work. Please still email me if you’re interested in booking a session and I will let you know what my availability is like at that point but for now I am not taking on any new sessions for at least a few months.

Here are a few favorites from my baby photo session with Adam. He was so cute, so smiley and soooo very busy. Luckily it was his mom who had to chase him and not me because I am not so quick on my feet these days. Although he was a bit tough to pin down everytime we got him to stay still we got adorable photos so it was totally worth it! I love sessions like that, quick and easy!

Enjoy!

This next one is my favorite, you just can’t help but smile when you see such a cute happy baby!

This sweet baby girl came for her very first photoshoot at my studio recently and I am so excited to share a sneak peek for Reese’s adoring fans :-)

I’ll be honest, she gave me and her parents a bit of a rough time but in the end she gave in and slept like a little angel and I got some great images. Here are a few for now, I may pop in and share a few more later as I prepare her gallery, because there are so many cute ones.

I love this one in Dad’s hands, love how she is grasping his finger.

When we were doing Dad and baby shots she was totally asleep but in her sleep she reached up and grabbed her Daddy’s nose. I thought it was sooo sweet.

What a pretty little girlie! I love how you can see her eyelashes in most of the sleeping images. So cute.

This sweet little girl was so much fun to work with! At 7 months old, she is obviously adorable and her mom and I had so much fun dressing her up and trying all sorts of different looks for her photos. This is the perfect stage for a photo session because babies this age are so expressive and so easygoing… and of course so cute!

A couple years ago I bought these angel wings online and for some reason I have never used them! I had put them in my prop closet of my studio and completely forgotten about them until I was getting ready for this session. I was hoping Mom would think they were cute too and I am so happy she wanted to try them out… soooo cute.

Okay that’s enough for now, hope you enjoyed the sneak peek!

This sweet little boy arrived just in time to make his family’s Christmas extra special. I was thrilled to photograph him at 8 days old, he was an angel baby! Slept soundly the whole time!

Since he is a precious early Christmas gift, his mom brought along a special ornament and bow for us to incorporate into the session.

I just love the cuddling with mama shots!

I don’t know what it is about this family but they make the most perfect sleeping babies! I photographed big sister when she was a newborn too and both she and this cute little guy let us do so many “in daddy’s hands” poses. I usually find that the hardest to keep a baby sleeping through and both of their children just slept like a dream through pose after pose. I hope they have more babies just so I can photograph them! 😉

I just got that pom pom hat and thought it would be fun to incorporate!

I nearly forgot to share one with my awesome, new to me antique bowl! LOVE IT!

Frilly, girly, pretty… all words I can’t use to describe photos I take of my own kids (boys) so I have to get my girly fix from client sessions… I had so much fun with this adorable baby girl, she had so many funny expressions (some were even new to mom and dad!).
Here is a sneak peek for her parents who I know are super anxious to see these.

I don’t even think it is possible to look at this next one and not smile!

Samara was so patient and put up with so many wardrobe and set changes… mom wanted to include the red for Christmas cards, I love that.

Okay now that you all got your cuteness fix for the day, I think I will stop there. I could add so many more but I just don’t have the time, maybe later!

then comes marriage…

Two years ago I had the pleasure of photographing their beautiful wedding… just a couple weeks ago I was thrilled that this couple asked me to photograph their new baby boy.

Peter was such a sweet little guy to work with, very easygoing and sooo very cute. I love his little head of hair, and wow does he ever look like his daddy!

17 days old… such a cute little guy, slept well for me. He was a little bit hard to get into squishy bended positions because he was a really big newborn! He’s gonna be a tall one! I love the awake shots we got of him as well though, so alert for such a young baby.

I just saw Gracen the other day and in the weeks since our photo session he has already changed so much. His mom and I were talking about how happy she is that she had these photos done because it’s hard to believe he was ever that small… it just reminded me of how important it is to capture your newborn in beautiful professional portraits. I can certainly relate, I know I treasure the photos I have of my son as a newborn, because I can’t believe how much he has changed only 7.5 months later! It is crazy how fast they grow up. I can’t imagine not having those precious images displayed around my home.

Anyway, enough yakking, here are just a few of my many favorites from this session.
