Today I thought I would pop in to the blog to show off a few sneak peeks from a recent family photo session. I love when I get to work with families that I’ve photographed before. It’s so cool to watch my little clients grow up… Last time I photographed these two (6 years ago already), they looked like this…

So cute right???
Well they’re still super cute but much older! (if photos appear a little fuzzy, click on each photo to view it clear and sharp!)

Man those 6 years went by crazy fast! Nothing makes you realize how quickly time goes like watching kids grow up… Makes you realize how important it is to take time to have your family documented in photographs! Even if you can’t book a session with a professional photographer very often, make sure you are taking (and printing!) lots of photos.

I don’t want to give away all of my favorites from this session just yet, but for now, here are a few that I was dying to share.

THIS next one is one of my new favorite family photos I have ever taken. I love it. I love love love family interaction photos… and I hope my clients do as well! I know when it comes to my own family I treasure these types of photos.

As a mom of (3) boys, I may be biased but I think photos of little boys with their mamas are the sweetest thing.

As you may or may not know, I am a dealer for Be Filled frames in Lethbridge. That means you can order gorgeous Be Filled picture frames from me, at a slight discount over buying them direct from Be Filled’s website. I just wanted to let everyone know about the great sale they are having in April, buy one 2 frames, get the third free! This is a great way to affordably design yourself a wall gallery, or stock up for a mother’s day gift! I have all the color samples in my studio, so if you need to take a look, let me know!befilledjennaslomp

Just a quick one to share for now, LOVE love love family portraits in the fall! I always wait til the fall to update my own family portraits as well… (NOT that I want to discourage you from getting family pictures done anytime of the year!).

I’m so excited to announce I am now officially a dealer of Be Filled frames!

If you haven’t yet heard of Be Filled, it is a picture frame company run by my friend Tiffany. Tiffany has the most amazing sense of style (I have consulted her many times for advice on decorating my own home, she truly has an eye for design). She loves to decorate her own home with photographs, and especially loves to display them in cute frames. She is one smart woman because she saw an opportunity to start her own fancy frame business, which is absolutely thriving! It is so awesome to finally be able to get cute frames right here in Lethbridge without having to pay expensive shipping costs. Tiff also sells the most adorable day planners ever which you can also see on her website!

There are four frame styles to choose from, in 10 different colors. You can also get any of the designs as a stacked frame, which is incredibly adorable (basically just what it says, a frame stacked on top of another frame).

Here’s a preview of the four styles available…

As far as colors, you can choose from black, charcoal grey, light grey, russet brown, dark brown, pink, olive green, deep red, pink, purple, baby blue, teal, yellow and cream. I have samples available of every color as well as frame style if you want to see one for yourself.

If you are interested in ordering a frame please give me a call or email me!

To celebrate this new addition to my product line, I am giving away a free 8×10 frame! To enter to win it, leave a comment here on this blog post telling me which frame style and color you would like to win! You also need to go to my facebook page, and like my page as well as the post where I am announcing the contest! A winner will be picked at random by Feb 6. (contest limited to those who can meet/pickup frame in the Lethbridge area)

ALSO from now until Valentines day, order any frame in red or pink and get 25% off (single styles only, no stacks included in this sale).

I am not officially “back to work” yet, still taking some time to enjoy my newest sweet little baby boy and adjust to this whole “life with three kids thing”… but when a special person called me and asked if I would do some family portraits for her while all her kids (and grandkids) were together in one city I couldn’t say no! I had so much fun working with this big family, everyone was so sweet and lovely and easy to work with (something that can’t always be said of big groups!).

There are many more photos to choose from so I definitely had a hard time narrowing it down  to show a few on my blog. This family has been waiting so patiently for a sneak peek so here it is, I should be done all of the photos soon, but for now I really hope you enjoy these!

I was having so much fun at this session-it was brutally hot BUT I could not complain because we had such a great location, and such cooperative fun subjects! oh and I can’t forget to mention the donkey audience! LOL. :)

This was such a fun engagement session for me because 1) it was for my brother in law and future sister in law, and 2) I forgot how easy it is to pose big people! LOL. They stay where you put them and they smile when you ask them too… no quacking or silly antics involved from me. Sort of a nice break! (not that I mind having to work so hard as a children’s photographer but it was nice to work with adults too). It was fun to go to a few different locations around Lethbridge too, as you can probably see in these photos we were all over the city!

Here are… well lets face it, here are A LOT of favorites from their engagement photo session. Enjoy!

And last but not least the paint fight… I can’t take credit (or responsibility LOL) for this idea, they found it on pinterest. Just a warning if you try this yourself, bring towels to sit on in your car for the ride home! :-)

Here are a few of my favorites from a recent fall family session in the riverbottom. This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family, but last time there were only 3 of them. Now they have 2 adorable little girls! I love all of the sibling interaction shots we got of the two girls together… so sweet. I have a feeling these girls will grow up to be best friends!

Thanks for checking out the blog, and feel free to leave a comment (up top click on COMMENTS) or to like my page on facebook!

It’s family portrait season! Seriously there is something about fall that makes everyone think of family pictures. You should be too! If you are interested in booking a family photography session with me please email me or call me right away, my schedule is booking up really quickly. If you want the beautiful fall color the best time to do your session is before the 2nd week in October (in my opinion) because we all know the Lethbridge wind loves to kick in and blow all those beautiful leaves off the trees right in the beginning of October.

Here are a few favorites from a summer session with a very sweet family, I enjoyed working with them!

this little guy was so adorable, love his personality, here’s another one I loved of him…

Arrdyn is the daughter of one of my close friends so I was thrilled to photograph her… however she wasn’t so thrilled to be photographed, this was a very long session but in the end we got some great images. I think she just wanted her mom and I to have some extra long chat time while calling it “work”. Thanks Arrdyn! Chat time is always good :-) and I know I will get many more chances to photograph you as you grow!

I’ve been a child photographer for over 5 years now, so I don’t usually get nervous for sessions… but this session, I will admit, I was pretty nervous for! It was my first time photographing newborn twins and I was so excited but also scared. I know how hard it is to keep one baby sleeping soundly enough in order to get beautiful, peaceful photographs of them, but two, now that is a different story! They both have to be sleeping deeply enough that you can pose them and so that they will not move and wake the other one up, so let’s just say it is not for the faint hearted… but these little sweetie pies were pretty good to me and as you can see, we got some great images, I really hope that their parents love these!
