I was so honored to be asked to photograph this extended family session because I spent a lot of time in this backyard, with this lovely family, when I was a kid. It really doesn’t feel like it was that long ago at all… but in the same way feels like it’s been forever! It’s always cool to see how the people you grew up with, grow up and have families of their own. I couldn’t ask for a nicer family to work with and I really had fun reconnecting with them all.

In typical Lethbridge fashion, we had to deal with gale force winds during this family photo session. But despite the wind blowing everyone’s hair every which way, I am really happy with the photographs from this session. I am almost finished the gallery and I’m excited to show them to the family, but for now, here is a sneak peek of a few that stood out at me… more to come soon!

*just a note, I notice when viewing this blog on a mobile device the photos can sometimes be a bit blurry, if that happens click on the actual photo to see it the way it is supposed to look!

There’s something about this last one that I just love. It might be my favorite.

I was so excited to work with this family again! Last time they came to see me, big sister Molly was the baby. Her baby session was one of my favorite baby sessions ever, because she was so happy awake, and so adorable asleep. This time Molly brought her brand new baby sister Adeline (17 days old). And just like last time, these two beautiful girls were perfect photoshoot subjects. Here are a few of my favorites from our studio session together (lots to share because it was such a great session!).

If you are expecting and would like to book a newborn session with me, please send me a message as soon as you think of it! Newborns are best photographed at a young age so they stay sleepy and happy :)

Today I am going to share some photos from a recent newborn/baby session. At six weeks old, Nathan wasn’t quite a new newborn like some of the babies I photograph, but he also wasn’t very old! Sometimes waiting until they are 6-8 weeks old can result in really great photos, they are still tiny like a newborn but they also are able to make eye contact, and some even coo and smile. This little man had lots of smiles for me, just not for my camera unfortunately! But that is ok, I think we got lots of adorable photos of him and his gorgeous family.

I’m sharing a lot, because I had a lot of favorites!

I love that last one of the three siblings together! Sibling shots are always my favorite. Probably because as a mom I know how happy I am to get a good one of all my kiddos together!

three year old big sister was a bit of a tough cookie at first, not falling for any of my jokes or goofing around. But I did manage to get some adorable photos of her, like this next one, I love it! She is adorable!

This little guy had the best eyelashes! I don’t know why boys always get the best eyelashes, but they do.

I love his chubby little hands and arms… that is definitely a bonus to waiting a few weeks to do newborn pictures, they fill out more and have that adorable baby chub! melts my heart. I couldn’t get over how cute this little guy was… didn’t want to move him for fear of waking him up!

If you enjoyed these photos please hit LIKE or SHARE below! and I love it when people leave comments, so please feel free!

Don’t forget to enter my contest to win an 8×10 BE FILLED FRAME (see post below). Remember all red and pink frames are 25% off until Valentines Day!

I’m so excited to announce I am now officially a dealer of Be Filled frames!

If you haven’t yet heard of Be Filled, it is a picture frame company run by my friend Tiffany. Tiffany has the most amazing sense of style (I have consulted her many times for advice on decorating my own home, she truly has an eye for design). She loves to decorate her own home with photographs, and especially loves to display them in cute frames. She is one smart woman because she saw an opportunity to start her own fancy frame business, which is absolutely thriving! It is so awesome to finally be able to get cute frames right here in Lethbridge without having to pay expensive shipping costs. Tiff also sells the most adorable day planners ever which you can also see on her website!

There are four frame styles to choose from, in 10 different colors. You can also get any of the designs as a stacked frame, which is incredibly adorable (basically just what it says, a frame stacked on top of another frame).

Here’s a preview of the four styles available…

I am not officially “back to work” yet, still taking some time to enjoy my newest sweet little baby boy and adjust to this whole “life with three kids thing”… but when a special person called me and asked if I would do some family portraits for her while all her kids (and grandkids) were together in one city I couldn’t say no! I had so much fun working with this big family, everyone was so sweet and lovely and easy to work with (something that can’t always be said of big groups!).

There are many more photos to choose from so I definitely had a hard time narrowing it down  to show a few on my blog. This family has been waiting so patiently for a sneak peek so here it is, I should be done all of the photos soon, but for now I really hope you enjoy these!

I was having so much fun at this session-it was brutally hot BUT I could not complain because we had such a great location, and such cooperative fun subjects! oh and I can’t forget to mention the donkey audience! LOL. :)

This was such a fun engagement session for me because 1) it was for my brother in law and future sister in law, and 2) I forgot how easy it is to pose big people! LOL. They stay where you put them and they smile when you ask them too… no quacking or silly antics involved from me. Sort of a nice break! (not that I mind having to work so hard as a children’s photographer but it was nice to work with adults too). It was fun to go to a few different locations around Lethbridge too, as you can probably see in these photos we were all over the city!

Here are… well lets face it, here are A LOT of favorites from their engagement photo session. Enjoy!

And last but not least the paint fight… I can’t take credit (or responsibility LOL) for this idea, they found it on pinterest. Just a warning if you try this yourself, bring towels to sit on in your car for the ride home! :-)
