So… in a previous post I alluded to the fact that I was expecting a baby in February… and since then the blog has been totally abandoned, sorry for that! So many times I have thought about writing this post and then just as soon as the thought enters my head, it is replaced by someone crying, or needing something, or something urgent needing to be done. In fact I started this draft 4 weeks ago and just realized I never published it!

We welcomed our third baby boy to our family in mid February, and as you can imagine, life has been busy. I did have a chance to do some newborn photos of him but I still haven’t gotten around to editing most of them, or printing them, or sharing them online! My brain feels more than a little overwhelmed, most of the time. I’m sure all you moms can relate. Anyways, here are some pictures of my sweet baby boy, who is now already 12 weeks old (I can’t believe that!). He is such a sweet baby and we are so totally in love with him. Watch the blog for more photos to come (hopefully… eventually!).

If you’ve contacted me lately, I apologize for my delay in responding… email is definitely the best way to get in touch with me at this time as I am taking some time off of work but please don’t let that stop you from sending me a message if you think you’d like to hire me to photograph your family! At some point in the near future I do plan to start taking sessions again, date to be announced. In the meantime I am taking names for my wait list and trying my best to enjoy every precious second with my new little man (and my two bigger boys) because as we all know this time goes by so so so fast and it’s just too important to miss.

Oh yeah, now that I’ve rambled on long enough here are a few photos from our newborn photoshoot(s). Yes that is plural because taking my own newborn’s portraits is so incredibly hard that I could only seem to do it for a few hours here or there and then have to quit and try another day!

I forgot to add these back in December when they were taken, but I thought they were too cute not to share. Here is a few favorite pictures from my studio photoshoot with baby Cooper. He was so cute! He definitely was a mommy’s little boy, no matter where she hid in my studio he tried his best to find her and look at her instead of me! But despite that I got him to look at me too, as you can see and we got some adorable photographs! He was such a charmer, I’m sure you will agree!

You’ll have to excuse my lateness in getting some sessions blogged this fall. I have a good excuse, I’ve been distracted. I’m expecting my third baby in early february, and I’ll be honest, getting all my work wrapped up+getting prepared for Christmas meant a few things had to give and that ended up being the blog! So I will try to get a few more sessions on here before my baby arrives, after which I will be taking a little bit of time off work. Please still email me if you’re interested in booking a session and I will let you know what my availability is like at that point but for now I am not taking on any new sessions for at least a few months.

Here are a few favorites from my baby photo session with Adam. He was so cute, so smiley and soooo very busy. Luckily it was his mom who had to chase him and not me because I am not so quick on my feet these days. Although he was a bit tough to pin down everytime we got him to stay still we got adorable photos so it was totally worth it! I love sessions like that, quick and easy!

Enjoy!

This next one is my favorite, you just can’t help but smile when you see such a cute happy baby!

Here is a sneak peek of adorable 4 month old Ejay. This little baby boy came to have his pictures done a couple weeks ago in my studio and he was such a happy little guy, very sweet and easy to work with!

I LOVE this next one of Ejay and his mommy!  So precious. Clearly a very LOVED little boy!

the last one is for his monkey themed bedroom! Too cute!

Here is a sneak peek, just grabbed a few that stood out to me from a recent session with this full of energy, absolutely ADORABLE little girl and her beautiful mama. Looking outside at all the snow right now it feels like forever ago that it was “fall” and we took these pictures but it really wasn’t that long ago! I so enjoyed working with Laren again, last time I photographed her she was just a baby and now she is 3! Isn’t she adorable?

I love these ones of Laren and her mama… I love mother and child relationship shots… Not only will we as mothers treasure images like this when our children are grown but I am confident our children will too.

This was such a fun engagement session for me because 1) it was for my brother in law and future sister in law, and 2) I forgot how easy it is to pose big people! LOL. They stay where you put them and they smile when you ask them too… no quacking or silly antics involved from me. Sort of a nice break! (not that I mind having to work so hard as a children’s photographer but it was nice to work with adults too). It was fun to go to a few different locations around Lethbridge too, as you can probably see in these photos we were all over the city!

Here are… well lets face it, here are A LOT of favorites from their engagement photo session. Enjoy!

And last but not least the paint fight… I can’t take credit (or responsibility LOL) for this idea, they found it on pinterest. Just a warning if you try this yourself, bring towels to sit on in your car for the ride home! :-)

Here are a few of my favorites from a recent fall family session in the riverbottom. This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family, but last time there were only 3 of them. Now they have 2 adorable little girls! I love all of the sibling interaction shots we got of the two girls together… so sweet. I have a feeling these girls will grow up to be best friends!

Thanks for checking out the blog, and feel free to leave a comment (up top click on COMMENTS) or to like my page on facebook!

I meant to post these a long time ago but I have not been feeling well and I am so grateful to my clients for being so patient with me! I am on the mend so hopefully you will see a lot more from me soon!

Here are a few favorites I wanted to share from my session with sweet baby Isla. I photographed her big brother when he turned one, so their parents brought Isla to me when she turned one as well. The focus was on Isla but we did do a couple with big brother as well, he was THE EASIEST 2 year old big brother I have ever worked with! If they could all be that easy! Isla took a little while to warm up to me but once she did I got some hiliarious expressions, and of course some adorable ones too… like this first one. LOVE IT!!!!! :-)

I adore this one with her big brother giving her a kiss! so sweet! oh man if we could only capture all those sweet moments between our kids, it would make all the fighting and bickering so much more tolerable! lol. not that these two fought, they really loved each other!!!

This family is really close friends with my family so I was absolutely thrilled to get to photograph them again this fall. I have been doing photos for them since they were expecting baby #1 so it’s pretty cool that I have literally watched their family grow over the past 4 years.

I absolutely LOVE the clothes they are wearing, of course I shouldn’t have expected less from the very stylish Kristin but still, how cute! I should hire her as a stylist for all my shoots. I love how they all go together so great but no one is matchy matchy.

Only a few more weeks of PEAK color left before all those beautiful leaves fall off the trees and everything because dull and brown! Seriously if you want outdoor family portraits please, please, please contact me right away!

I adore this next family shot… I love real interaction, relationships… real families. LOVE!

this next one is my favorite!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

It’s family portrait season! Seriously there is something about fall that makes everyone think of family pictures. You should be too! If you are interested in booking a family photography session with me please email me or call me right away, my schedule is booking up really quickly. If you want the beautiful fall color the best time to do your session is before the 2nd week in October (in my opinion) because we all know the Lethbridge wind loves to kick in and blow all those beautiful leaves off the trees right in the beginning of October.

Here are a few favorites from a summer session with a very sweet family, I enjoyed working with them!

this little guy was so adorable, love his personality, here’s another one I loved of him…
