Oh my goodness I am so behind in posting recent sessions here. I’ll get back on it ASAP. Lots to share!

Anyways, I had the pleasure of photographing Rex & Dawn’s wedding this weekend, on what could very well be the windiest day I have ever experienced (definitely the windiest day I’ve had to photograph a wedding on!). Unfortunately it was just too windy and we got pushed inside, but I just wanted to let them (and their families know) that the pictures turned out fantastic and I can’t wait to proof them and show you all! Here is one I quickly pulled out to show…

Here are some images from my recent newborn shoot with my nephew, Sam. He slept perfectly for me and I am so thrilled with what I got. These are just a few of my favorites, believe me I have many more! I just LOVE these images… they are exactly what I have been seeing in my head for a long time but hadn’t gotten yet (until now!).

These images emphasize exactly why I want to photograph newborns 10 days old and under. Preferably 7 days old and under! As the days go on, they start to sleep less soundly and want to stretch and kick their legs out… if you or someone you know is expecting and would like a newborn photo shoot with me, I recommend that you call before you are due to pre-book, and then that way I will be sure to fit you in within days of your baby’s birth.

I’ll share a few more later.

Don’t rainy days just make you want to curl up in your nice warm bed and sleep all day?Sam
They do for me! When it’s stormy and cold I have the urge to put some sort of comfort food in the crockpot (like beef stew-something warm) and then crawl in under my covers and go to sleep (or read a book/ watch a movie).

But alas, we have jobs and responsibilities! I can’t go to bed because I am behind on proofing (lots of great images to share as well as some new products) and we are finishing up our basement (soon it will be done!). I thought I’d just take a minute to show one of my new fav images, this is my nephew Sam, all curled up and sleepy. Oh the life of a newborn, if only they knew how good they had it!

Did you have a good Easter? I sure did.

I am so in love with this little man that I have only known for less than a week. I want to take him home with me but I have a feeling being an aunt is a whole lot easier than a full time mom! So for now I will enjoy every minute that he is little…

his dad was joking on Saturday when they were leaving the hospital (I was documenting it in pictures) that I have become Sam’s personal papparazzi… um yeah, he has no idea what is to come!

I was a little sad when I realized I had taken pics of Sam with every family member but there were none of me with him, so my husband took these on Easter Sunday. _mg_1495web

Anyways, I should get back to work! I have a busy week full of sessions ahead and I’m so annoyed that is so windy today! Had to reschedule an outdoor shoot… Oh well, that comes with living in Lethbridge I guess!

My sister went in to be induced yesterday at 7am, and I went there in the early afternoon and stayed for almost all of her labor (she had to stay in the hospital after being induced). I was there until 3:30 this morning watching her give birth to her new baby boy!

was seriously one of the most wonderful and amazing things I have ever seen. I
am so proud of my sister. She did so well and she was sooo strong. She was in so much pain, it was
hard to watch… If you ask her, she’ll tell you she is never doing that again!

You all know I will be sharing oodles
of pics in the next few weeks but here are 2 I pulled from minutes after he was born.

Introducing… my nephew, Samuel Christopher. Born April 5/07 at 2:17am. Definitely worth the wait! We had a pool going to guess the weight and I won! He was
6lbs, 11oz, oh and definitely ADORABLE. I am in love.

Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy the holiday with your families! I know my family will be enjoying our new ‘lil Easter blessing.

This is so totally off topic but I was wondering if anyone knows of any dog obedience courses around Lethbridge, and how well they work? If someone was willing to share personal experiences that would be wonderful!

My dogs are very sweet and loving but they bark a bit too much (okay a lot) and have a bit of trouble obeying us (I’m a softie) so I would like to get them into some obedience type training. If you have any suggestions, please email me! Thanks!

Oh and I am scheduled to become an aunty today! My sis is getting induced. I’m sure it doesn’t need to be said but I will share pics as soon as I have some!
